Clinical management of patients with dental fear, anxiety, and phobia could be a major challenge to daily practice professionals. The aim the current review was expand modern consideration respect these issues, therefore discuss basic approaches psychological techniques for oral health behaviors that should employed in dentistry. This paper presents detailed description characteristics dentist-patient therapeutic relationship as well most used cope - relaxation techniques, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), hypnosis melotherapy. We can still argue knowledge from behavioral sciences, along excellent communication skills, empathic attitude, individual patient-centered approach remain main armamentarium dentist deal “difficult” patients, experiencing or during appointment.
